We are social animals, and social stressors are bad for our mental and social well-being. So, what would it take to create conditions that enhance rather than harm mental and social well-being? What do we know about creating mentally healthy homes, schools, colleges and universities, workplaces, neighbourhoods, communities, and countries? What would constitute a mentally healthy city, nation, or world, and how do we get there? In this session Dr. Hancock will discuss the range of social, political, environmental, economic, and other changes we must consider if we are to enable and encourage mental well-being and reduce the burden of mental health problems.
